Features

Thermo Scientific Vanquish Amplify UHPLC system

The Thermo Scientific Vanquish™ Amplify UHPLC system is an integrated inert ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography platform designed particularly for demanding biopharmaceutical workflows and metal-sensitive analytes. Its fully inert and biocompatible sample flow path minimizes unwanted interactions between analytes and metal surfaces, helping reduce nonspecific adsorption, improve recovery and peak shape, and limit metal adduct formation in LC-MS analysis.

The system is designed for applications including oligonucleotides, mRNA, protein therapeutics, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). Built on the Vanquish UHPLC platform, it combines pressures up to 150 MPa with precise solvent delivery, broad sample and column temperature control, and inert fluidics for high-efficiency biomolecule separations.

Fully Inert Sample Flow Path

A key feature of Vanquish Amplify is its fully inert sample flow path, designed to minimize contact between analytes and metal surfaces.

For metal-sensitive compounds, such interactions can contribute to:

  • analyte adsorption,
  • reduced recovery,
  • distorted peak shape,
  • poor reproducibility,
  • metal-adduct formation in LC-MS.

The inert design therefore supports more dependable chromatographic performance and consistent results across repeated analyses.

Biopharmaceutical Applications

Vanquish Amplify is particularly suited to modern biopharmaceutical workflows involving compounds sensitive to interaction with metallic surfaces.

Representative analytes include:

  • oligonucleotides,
  • mRNA,
  • other nucleic acids,
  • protein therapeutics,
  • antibody-drug conjugates.

Its high-pressure UHPLC capability supports modern high-resolution columns and demanding separation methods.

Viper™ TQ UHPLC Fittings

Thermo Scientific Viper™ TQ UHPLC fittings incorporate built-in torque control to provide consistent, secure, and leak-free fluidic connections.

The design helps avoid:

  • under-tightening,
  • over-tightening,
  • fluidic leaks,
  • inconsistent installation.

Proper connection can be both heard and felt during installation.

Vial Bottom Detection

The vial bottom detection function improves sample utilization and workflow reliability by enabling sample aspiration close to the bottom of the sample container.

This helps:

  • maximize available sample volume,
  • minimize residual sample,
  • reduce uncertainty in aspiration-depth settings,
  • prevent needle damage.

This feature is particularly valuable for limited-volume or high-value biopharmaceutical samples.

LC-MS Workflow Integration

Vanquish Amplify is designed for integration into advanced LC-MS workflows and can be combined with:

  • Thermo Scientific SurePac™ RP MDi columns
  • Thermo Scientific Orbitrap™ Excedion™ Mass Spectrometer
  • Thermo Scientific Chromeleon™ CDS

Together, these technologies support chromatographic separation, mass spectrometric detection, data management, and workflows ranging from early-stage research to manufacturing quality control.
