The Thermo Scientific™ OptiSpray™ Ion Source is an intelligent electrospray ionization interface designed to simplify the acquisition of high-quality, reproducible nano- and capillary LC-MS data. Compatible with the Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ Neo UHPLC system and the Thermo Scientific mass spectrometers portfolio, it combines automated spray optimization with cartridge-based nano and capillary columns to deliver high sensitivity, quantitative accuracy, precision, and robust performance for discovery and targeted assays.

High Performance

The OptiSpray™ ion source combines optimized fluidics with integrated temperature and sheath gas control to ensure stable, reproducible electrospray ionization. Automated spray positioning helps deliver reproducible, high-quality analytical results with or without the FAIMS interface.

Simple and Automated Operation

Designed for ease of use, the OptiSpray™ system features plug-and-play cartridge installation that virtually eliminates manual setup of nano and capillary columns. Automated spray optimization further simplifies operation, while onboard cartridge memory stores cartridge properties, usage data, and previous source settings, enabling rapid setup and consistent ESI performance over time.

Reliable and Reproducible Results

The source enhances robustness by automatically moving the spray to an inactive position between injections, helping maintain a cleaner MS system. Exchangeable emitters extend column lifetime, while automated spray positioning, cartridge memory, and integrated nebulization gas boost contribute to run-to-run and intercolumn reproducibility.
