Thermo Scientific Vanquish Charged Aerosol Detectors

Expand your detection range and achieve accurate quantitation in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with the near-universal Charged Aerosol Detector (CAD). Featuring a wide linear and dynamic range along with a uniform response independent of chemical structure, Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ CAD systems allow you to measure virtually all non-volatile and many semi-volatile analytes at low-nanogram to sub-nanogram concentrations. Confidently quantify both trace impurities and highly concentrated active compounds in a single analysis.

Key Benefits

  • Standard-free quantitation of unknowns – uniform response enables reliable single-calibrant quantitation
  • Superior sensitivity – 10× lower LODs compared to ELSD, LOQs as low as 1–20 ng on-column
  • Wide dynamic range – linear up to 2 orders of magnitude, dynamic up to 4 orders
  • Compatible with gradient elution – maintain uniform response using inverse gradient, unlike RID
  • Integrated diverter valve – prevents contamination, directs unwanted matrix to waste, and improves quantitation of early-eluting compounds
  • Compliance and data integrity – full qualification of method parameters, audited flow path control, and seamless integration with Thermo Scientific Chromeleon™ CDS
