He is a pioneer in high-throughput plasma proteomics and translating proteomics technologies into real-world healthcare applications.

Dr. Markku Varjosalo, is a Research Director at the Institute of Biotechnology, University of Helsinki, where he leads the Molecular Systems Biology research group. His research combines innovative proteomics technologies, computational biology, and systems biology to overcome the barriers that have traditionally limited large-scale proteomics. Through the development of robust, high-throughput workflows, Dr. Varjosalo is helping empower researchers to tackle increasingly ambitious translational studies
