The Mettler Toledo XP205DR DeltaRange is a high-precision Excellence Plus analytical balance designed for laboratory applications requiring high sensitivity, stable performance, and flexibility across different sample loads. DeltaRange technology provides an 81 g fine range with 0.01 mg readability while maintaining a full weighing capacity of 220 g at 0.1 mg readability.
The balance combines automatic internal ProFACT adjustment, a color touchscreen terminal, automatic draft shield, SmartGrid weighing pan, and integrated applications for routine and advanced laboratory weighing. The movable DeltaRange fine range can be restored after taring, enabling high-resolution weighing even when heavier tare containers are used.
DeltaRange Movable Fine Range
DeltaRange technology combines a relatively high maximum capacity with a high-resolution fine range.
After startup, the XP205DR operates in the 0.01 mg fine range. Once the fine-range capacity is exceeded, the display automatically switches to the coarser 0.1 mg readability.
The fine range becomes available again after each taring operation, making it possible to place a heavier vessel on the balance, tare it, and then weigh a small sample into the container at high resolution.
ProFACT Automatic Internal Adjustment
ProFACT uses integrated reference weights for fully automatic balance adjustment, supporting stable weighing performance while minimizing manual intervention.
The XP205DR incorporates two built-in reference weights.
SmartGrid Weighing Pan
The SmartGrid grid weighing pan is designed to reduce air turbulence within the weighing chamber, supporting faster stabilization and reliable analytical weighing.
Automatic Draft Shield
The enclosed draft shield protects measurements from air currents and other environmental influences. It can be operated automatically and removed for easier cleaning and access.
The usable draft-shield height is 235 mm.
Touchscreen Terminal and SmartSens
The graphical color touchscreen provides intuitive access to balance settings, applications, and results.
Programmable SmartSens sensors enable selected operations to be triggered without touching the terminal.
