The Agilent SU57331 is a reusable holder for replaceable SPME fiber assemblies, designed for automated sampling with Varian autosamplers and for use with an SPME/HPLC interface. The holder protects the coated SPME fiber while retracted and controls fiber exposure during analyte extraction and subsequent desorption. The SPME fiber assembly itself is not included and must be selected separately according to the required coating chemistry and application.

Holder Function
In SPME, a thin fiber coated with a sorptive or adsorptive phase is exposed directly to a sample or its headspace. After extraction, the fiber is retracted into its protective needle and transferred for analyte desorption.
The SU57331 holder:
