The Agilent 1260 Infinity GPC/SEC Multi-Detector Suite (G7800A) is an advanced multidetector platform for gel permeation chromatography and size exclusion chromatography (GPC/SEC), optimized primarily for polymer characterization in organic solvents. The offered configuration combines three complementary detection principles—differential refractive index (RI), dual-angle light scattering (LS), and viscometry—providing significantly more structural information than conventional column-calibrated GPC alone.
Combining RI, LS, and viscometry enables determination of polymer concentration, absolute molecular weight, and information about molecular size, conformation, and branching. Each detector is independently temperature controlled from 30 to 60 °C for stable baselines and reproducible measurements. The offered system also includes two Agilent PLgel 5 µm MIXED-C columns for broad-range polymer separations.
