The Agilent Intuvo 9000 GC System S/SL FID (G3950A) is a gas chromatograph designed for fast, reproducible, and highly efficient fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) analysis. Configured with a split/splitless (S/SL) inlet, flame ionization detector (FID), and the Agilent J&W DB-FastFAME Intuvo column, the system delivers rapid and selective separation of saturated and unsaturated FAMEs, including challenging cis/trans isomers.
The DB-FastFAME column features a highly polar cyanopropyl stationary phase engineered specifically for FAME analysis. Compared with conventional 100 m columns, it enables complete FAME separations in less than eight minutes while maintaining excellent chromatographic resolution. The system is well suited for the analysis of milk fat, vegetable oils, fish oils, and other lipid matrices, while supporting AOAC, AOCS, and IOC analytical methods.
