The Vacuubrand MD 4C is a three-stage chemistry diaphragm pump engineered for applications requiring strong pumping speed and very deep vacuum—without the use of oil. Designed for continuous operation with corrosive gases and vapors, the pump features a fully chemically resistant flow path made from fluoroplastics and long-life PTFE sandwich diaphragms.
Its three-stage configuration allows the MD 4C to achieve an impressive ultimate vacuum of 1.5 mbar (3 mbar with gas ballast) while maintaining an excellent pumping speed of 3.4 m³/h. This makes it ideally suited for rotary and parallel evaporators, vacuum drying ovens, concentration systems, and any application with significant solvent vapor loads.
A gas ballast valve ensures reliable pumping of condensable vapors, even from high-boiling solvents. The maintenance-free drive, whisper-quiet operation, and extremely low vibration contribute to outstanding reliability in daily laboratory use.
