Position Overview

Eurofins Athens Analysis Laboratories, a trusted leader in independent laboratory testing across multiple sectors — including food, water, cosmetics, environmental, pharmaceutical, and dietary supplements — is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our Chemical Laboratory at our facilities in Metamorfosi, Attiki. The successful candidate will contribute to our mission, ensuring accurate and reliable results through the application of advanced instrumental techniques and quality assurance practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative determination of metals in water, sludge, and food samples using ICP-MS instrumentation.
  • Prepare samples for analysis, including digestion and other sample preparation procedures.
  • Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance of ICP-MS equipment.
  • Apply quality control procedures in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements.
  • Verify, evaluate, and document the reliability and accuracy of analytical data.
  • Participate in the development, optimization, and validation of analytical methods.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, internal procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with laboratory colleagues to ensure timely delivery of high-quality analytical results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
  • Experience with ICP-MS instrumentation and sample preparation techniques 
  • Good understanding of quality control principles and laboratory procedures.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 requirements will be considered an asset.
  • Very good command of the English language.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and teamwork mentality.
  • Completed military service for male candidates.
