Research Associate – Protein Chemistry
Our client is looking for a BSc level Scientist to become part of a growing and dynamic Biotech company servicing the Life Science market. The successful candidate will combine a background in Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry with strong fundamental lab skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate various commercial antibodies for use in protein/peptide enrichment
- Optimize sample prep using affinity capture with magnetic beads
- Analyze prepared standards and biological samples using MALDI-MS
- Prepare commercial test kits using data from R&D projects
- Present experimental results internally/externally; provide customer support as product expert
Candidate Qualifications
- BS Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, or Chemistry
- Sample prep experience with Proteins / Peptides is a PLUS!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated working style with the ability to meet project deadlines
