Lab Technician

  • Full Time: 10:00 PM-6:30 AM, Monday – Friday 
  • Shift Premium: 15% 

Position Summary: 

The Consumables Lab Technician is an hourly position where we process chemicals and raw materials into bulk product.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Manufacture, assemble and package product according to work orders and work instructions
  • Must be able to set up and use balances/scales
  • Check labels against paperwork and material lot numbers, prior to labeling
  • Become familiar with and follow the documented procedures in D-20 Quality system
  • Make production and quality improvement suggestions
  • May be required to perform practical applications of fractions, percentages, ratio and proportions
  • May be required to have a basic knowledge of the metric system
  • May be required to work from engineering drawings
  • Perform record keeping functions
  • May perform training duties
  • May schedule own production
  • May expedite their own production parts
  • May requisition materials needed for their own area of responsibility
  • May perform basic computer functions in the Oracle system
  • Perform other duties as directed
  • Perform final inspection
  • May remove and retrieve materials from stocking and hold areas
  • Communicate with other production areas

Position Requirements: 

  • Must be able to follow work instructions
  • Manual dexterity requiring full use of both hands
  • Possess visual acuity
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision
  • Knowledge of safety procedures applicable to the specific work areas
  • Right-to-Know class
  • Basic Quality Skills class
  • Respirator Training
  • Efficient in Oracle

Education/Certifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
