From sample to insight: Smarter GC–MS workflows for non-target screening

Non-target screening lets you look beyond a predefined list of compounds to uncover unexpected components, differences between samples and the chemistry driving those differences. Achieving confident results, however, depends on the whole analytical workflow – from sampling and enrichment through to separation, detection and data analysis.
This seminar explores how sample enrichment techniques such as (thermal desorption, Headspace, SPME, sorptive extraction), GC–MS, GC×GC and advanced data analysis can strengthen the non-target workflow to reveal meaningful chemical differences between samples – from capturing and separating more components to comparing complex datasets and identifying the compounds that matter.
Drawing on technologies from Markes and SepSolve, the session will combine practical insights, real-world applications and live demonstrations.

Why attend
- Learn how to optimise your workflow: See how sampling, enrichment, separation, detection and data analysis can be combined for more confident non-target screening.
- Hear from guest speakers: Gain practical insights from researchers at leading UK laboratories using TD, SPME, Headspace, HiSorb, GC×GC–MS and chemometrics.
- See live demonstrations: Get a first look at new software tools designed to simplify complex data comparison and accelerate interpretation.
- Tour the laboratories: See advanced analytical workflows in action at our demo facilities.
Whether you’re already working with non-target screening or looking to expand your analytical capabilities, you’ll leave with practical ideas for extracting more information – and more confidence – from every sample.
