Nontargeted Separations Laboratory W&M at Pittcon 2026

Researchers from the Nontargeted Separations Laboratory William & Mary will present several contributions at Pittcon 2026, highlighting recent advances in forensic analysis, comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GC×GC), and modern mass spectrometry workflows. Their presentations span topics from simplifying GC×GC method development for forensic applications, to integrated analytical strategies combining SEM-EDS with GC×GC for green gunshot residue analysis, as well as innovations in carrier gas selection for GC×GC and approaches to undergraduate research in instrumental analysis. Together, these talks demonstrate how multidimensional separations and advanced detection techniques are enabling more robust non-targeted analysis of complex forensic samples while also fostering innovation in analytical chemistry education.
