O grant Bezva chemie se můžete přihlásit od 15. září do 15. října 2026&nbsp;skrze&nbsp;jednoduchý formulář.&nbsp;Nadační příspěvek na jeden projekt činí 20 000 Kč.&nbsp;Učitelé a učitelky chemie mohou žádat o grant na nákup drobného přístrojového vybavení, laboratorního skla, chemického softwaru, učebních pomůcek nebo odborné literatury. Projekty bude hodnotit nezávislá výběrová komise složená z odborníků v oblasti chemie, didaktiky a práce s talentovanou mládeží. Hlavními kritérii jsou atraktivita projektů, míra zapojení studentů a očekávaný dopad na zlepšení výuky. Vítězné projekty budou známy do 30. listopadu 2026.&nbsp;Nadace Experientia ve spolupráci s Nadačním fondem IOCB Foundation letos podpoří 20 projektů na základních a středních školách. Inorganic materials often exhibit complex thermal behaviors that can be challenging to study. Luckily, thermal analysis provides us with powerful investigative tools. By utilizing techniques such as DSC, thermo-optical analysis, TGA, TMA, and DMA, we can measure behaviors including melting point, phase transitions, and thermal stability. Evolved gas analysis combined with TGA can also provide important information about the products of decomposition.

Inflammation plays a pivotal role in the body’s defence against pathogens.
It is part of a cascade of events that are crucial for maintaining organ and systemic homeostasis. While acute inflammatory responses are essential for combating infections, chronic inflammation is increasingly linked to the onset of various clinical conditions, including diabetes, atherosclerosis, cardiometabolic diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, and obesity.
Traditionally, C-Reactive Protein (CRP) has been the gold standard for assessing inflammation. However, recent studies highlight the importance of glycoproteins and lipoproteins in both acute and chronic inflammation. Wist is involved in international initiative for the development of open-source data analysis and visualisation platforms such as nmrdb.org, nmrium.org and cheminfo.org.

His research focuses on the integration of high-fidelity molecular phenotypes to create translatable methods for the clinical environment. He strives to establish a comprehensive phenotypic databank of the world population by integrating cellular, immunological, and molecular data. Prof. Wist&#39;s research on SARS-CoV-2 infection revealed crucial markers for disease progression, including the acute phase, risk of death, and post-acute COVID 19 syndrome. More recently, Wist and his team detected and elucidated the structure of 10 new molecules for the first time in human urine and elucidated 10 of them, revealing the existence of an extended RSAD2 dependant natural antiviral pathway extending involving the Viperin enzyme to convert CTP into ddhCTP and analogs. These significant findings have led to the filing of 2 patents in collaboration with industry leaders and have been published in renowned international journals.

From Biological Exploration to Clinical Translation

Hypoxia occurs due to inadequate oxygen supply and greatly influences solid tumor development and resistance to treatment.
The tumor microenvironment can influence how aggressive a tumor is and correlate with underlying treatment resistance. Microenvironment biomarkers like tumor pH, hypoxia, and angiogenesis have been correlated with cancer aggression and patient outcomes. PET can play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment orientation, and subsequent management of tumors as it can provide complementary information regarding tumor metabolic properties, particularly when performed simultaneously with advanced MRI techniques. 
Breast cancer is widely known for its high degree of intratumoral heterogeneity, induced by varying selective pressures from the hypoxic tumor microenvironment. In-depth characterization of hypoxia-induced physiological differences between breast cancer subtypes by simultaneous multiparametric PET/MRI would greatly benefit diagnosis and treatment planning in the clinic.
The purpose of this webinar is to discuss challenges in the establishment of MRI protocols, combining, e.g., a) dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) and intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) MRI for the assessment of intratumoral vascularization, b) hyperoxic blood oxygen level-dependent (BOLD) MRI for the quantification of oxygen delivery, and c) [18F]FMISO PET, highlighting hypoxic tumor subregions.
Finally, we will demonstrate how a combined analysis of simultaneous multiparametric PET/MRI-derived imaging parameters enables the identification of spatially defined and physiologically distinct intratumoral niches within the hypoxic tumor microenvironment. This characterization provides an existing novel perspective on breast cancer and opens up new targets for BC therapy.
