Building Confidence in Routine Toxicology Testing: The Power of Robust LC Chromatography and a Novel Biphenyl Column Method

Event Overview
Accurate and reliable toxicology results depend on robust chromatographic performance, especially when analyzing complex biological samples and an expanding range of drugs and metabolites. In this webinar, discover how a novel biphenyl LC column method can enhance routine toxicology workflows by delivering improved selectivity, retention, and separation of challenging analytes. Through practical examples and real-world applications, attendees will learn how optimized LC chromatography can reduce matrix interferences, improve the resolution of structurally similar compounds, and increase confidence in both qualitative and quantitative results. The session will also explore best practices for method development and implementation, helping laboratories improve reproducibility, analytical reliability, and operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality results in routine toxicology testing.
By attending this webinar you will learn:
- How robust LC chromatography improves confidence in toxicology results
- Why biphenyl column technology offers unique separation advantages
- Approaches to enhance analyte identification, quantitation, and laboratory efficiency

Speaker: Martien van der Meijden (Principal Scientist, Advanced Diagnostics Division, Waters Corporation)
Martien van der Meijden is a Principal Scientist at Waters Corporation in the Advanced Diagnostics Division. He brings deep expertise in LC-MS method development and troubleshooting. Based in the Netherlands and part of Waters since 2018, Martien has authored much of Waters’ training content and has supported forensic and clinical labs across Europe with hands-on guidance.
Speaker: Jonathan Danaceau (Principal Scientist, Advanced Diagnostics Division, Waters Corporation)
Dr. Jonathan Danaceau, Ph.D., is a Principal Scientist with Waters Corporation in the Advanced Diagnostics Division. He received his B.S. in Biology from Allegheny College and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT). Jon came to Waters in 2011 after spending several years in the forensic toxicology and sports doping fields. Since joining Waters, he has focused on sample preparation and LC/MS/MS solutions for forensic, clinical research, and other bioanalytical applications. He is an expert in sample preparation and bioanalytical method development and has published several papers in these fields.
