As therapeutic peptides continue to expand across the drug development pipeline, their structural complexity creates new challenges for identifying impurities, understanding degradation pathways, and assessing product stability. Join Jessica Hoskins for a practical look at how high-resolution mass spectrometry can help characterize degradation products in synthetic peptides and support pharmaceutical development.

Using a synthetic peptide subjected to oxidative and base-stress conditions, Jessica will share her experience evaluating the Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap™ Excedion™ Hybrid Mass Spectrometer for impurity and degradation product identification. See how improved sensitivity can help reveal low-level and chromatographically unresolved impurities, making it easier to correlate mass spectrometry signals with chromatographic peaks and identify chemical transformations.

The session will also explore how improved data quality can support automated impurity identification and how Full Scan Enhanced Dynamic Range (eDR) technology can reveal additional peptide charge states.

Who should attend?

Scientists in pharmaceutical development, analytical R&D, predictive stability, structure elucidation, and researchers developing or characterizing synthetic peptides and other complex therapeutic modalities.
