Comparison of biocompatible and inert UHPLC systems for LC-UV quantitation of large RNA

See how the Thermo Scientific Vanquish Amplify UHPLC system helps reduce metal-analyte interactions for metal-sensitive analytes and large RNA workflows.

Accurate LC-UV analysis of large RNA and oligonucleotide therapeutics requires highly inert chromatographic flow paths to minimize analyte loss, peak broadening, and reduced sensitivity. This webinar is based on a poster presented at the International Symposium on Chromatography 2026 and will share data comparing the Vanquish Amplify UHPLC system with biocompatible and other inert UHPLC configurations for metal-sensitive analytes such as AMPcP and large RNA fragments.

Based on recent poster data from ISC 2026, this session will show how integrated analytics can provide faster, data-driven feedback during mAb and bispecific process development—helping teams optimize productivity without compromising product quality.

What you’ll learn
  • How metal surfaces can affect LC-UV performance for phosphodiester-containing analytes
  • How the Vanquish Amplify system performed for 500 nt and 5,000 nt RNA fragments
  • How the system compared with MP35N-based fluidics and a commercial inert platform under the tested conditions
Key takeaways
  • Up to a twofold sensitivity increase was observed for AMPcP under conditions where metal interactions were most pronounced.
  • For large RNA, the Vanquish Amplify UHPLC system delivered 1.25–1.35× higher signal intensity versus systems with MP35N fluidics.
  • The inert flow path supported improved chromatographic performance and reproducibility, especially for low-concentration analytes
Who should attend

This webinar is ideal for scientists working in oligonucleotides, RNA analysis, LC-UV quantitation, and method development for metal-sensitive analytes.
