Thermo Fisher Scientific: Ask the Expert: What to expect from the new Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap™ Excedion™ Hybrid mass spectrometers

Join our experts for an in-depth look at the new Thermo Scientific™ Orbitrap™ Excedion™ Hybrid Mass Spectrometer—a next-generation HRAM platform designed to help laboratories confidently tackle today's analytical challenges while remaining ready for tomorrow's discoveries.

Whether you're working in metabolomics, drug metabolism, environmental and food safety research, proteomics, or bioanalysis, the Orbitrap Excedion MS delivers the sensitivity, dynamic range, and robustness needed to detect more low-abundance compounds, improve confidence in your results, and maximize productivity. Learn how Full Scan Enhanced Dynamic Range (eDR) technology enables deeper sample coverage by revealing low-level analytes that conventional full-scan methods may miss, while maintaining outstanding quantitative performance.

This session will also explore how the Orbitrap Excedion platform is purpose-built for long-term value. With in-lab upgrade paths to the Orbitrap Excedion Pro MS, laboratories can expand capabilities as research needs evolve—protecting their investment without replacing their instrument. You'll also discover how a redesigned front-end, robust ion source, and simplified maintenance contribute to reliable, reproducible performance and greater uptime for busy laboratories.

Bring your questions and hear directly from our product experts about the innovations that are helping researchers generate more confident results today while preparing for the analytical challenges of tomorrow.

Presenter: Maciej Bromirski (Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific)

Maciej Bromirski has over 25 years of experience in mass spectrometry starting as an undergraduate student with late Prof. Ken Standing at the Physics Department at University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. Upon completion of his graduate studies on IR & UV vacuum MALDI Q-TOF prototype MS with first oral presentation at ASMS and publications starting in 1999, Maciej undertook various roles and responsibilities with different Mass Spectrometry vendors. Since 2010 to present-day, Maciej has been fully dedicated to new product introductions and marketing developments of Q Exactive series, Orbitrap Exploris and more recently Orbitrap Excedion series MS with Thermo Fisher Scientific.
